SUMMARY OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS
Ladies fashion apparel store in Paarl seeks a full time shop manager to start as soon as possible. The business is focused on customer relationships and offering a shopping experience to patrons. We are primarily looking for an individual with the right personality to become part of our business. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fashion and beautiful things. Our business is focused on the relationships we build with clients, suppliers and our employees.
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience and knowledge of the clothing/fashion industry as well as meeting sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Opening/closing of the store and management of day to day operations
Engaging patrons, understand dress needs and offering styling advice
Merchandising and general tidiness of the store
Stock control and point of sale transactions
Reconciling sales and cash flow
Other general administrative duties
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and well-spoken individual
Excellent written and verbal skills, fully English/Afrikaans bilingual
Professional demeanour yet welcoming and sociable style
Entrepreneurial spirit and vibrant personality
There will be on the job training by senior management and the applicant must be enthusiastic to learn about the industry and align with company/business philosophy
Living in the Paarl vicinity will be beneficial
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Minimum requirement: Senior Certificate
Tertiary education in garment technology, fashion design or any other clothing manufacturing related profession will be an advantage
EXPERIENCE
Experience in retail and clothing merchandising will be an advantage
